I was just looking at the online memorials to get some ideas on how to write one for my dad when I clicked Ron's. I read a little at first just to see how you started and then I was hooked. I read about a man's life and his death. I am so sorry for your loss. It sure sounds like Ron enjoyed his life here on earth and he served his country proud. I wish more men could be like him.

My father passed away unexpectedly October 25, 2007 at the age of 73.  I thank God every day that he did not suffer.  I take solace in knowing he is with many family members that preceeded him in death.  I hope you find peace in your heart as well and can dwell on all the wonderful lifetime memories you shared.  Blessings to you all.

My dad was just killed, and I'm having a really difficult time.  I was drawn to Mr. Foster's memorial because he was the same age as my dad, and it looks like he knew how to have fun and love life too.  Thank you for showing me that I'm not alone...and maybe our dads are hanging out together :)  I'm so sorry for your loss, and thank you again for your help.

I met Ron once and recall how helpful both he and Bonnie were in assisting me to get some packages back to Virginia. I would have loved knowing him better along with his children. I know, as he did, that Bonnie was and is a sweetheart. Yvonne

Bonnie and Sarah,

I continue to lift you both up in prayer as you adjust to your new unexpected life without your husband/dad for awhile. Rest on the promises of God and the legacy Ron left you while you live under God's grace and peace each day. Please let me know if I can ever serve you in any way. This is a great memorial and speaks to the love and honor you feel for a very special man of God, now in the loving arms of his Savior. Yours Always in Christ, Pastor Chuck

Dear Sarah and Bonnie,

What a wonderful memorial to your dad and husband! As we read it and viewed the photos, we were truly moved by your heartfelt memories of Ron and how he touched so many people. It is clear that he was an exeptional person, a wonderful dad and husband, and a true patriot.

Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and that you have our sympathy and sincere condolences.

One never forgets the loss of a loved one, but somehow time does help one heal. Remember the good times that you had while Ron was with you and know that you will see him again in heaven.

Love,

Bruce and Carol Pihlstrom
