I didn't know Anthony personally but my family photographed (Ray Castro) him and after seeing his numerous pictures and hearing about his amazing character, I felt as if I knew him. My heart was saddened by his loss and my thoughts and prayers were with the family.

Hi, my names jessica rodriguez , we rarely spoke but i wish we couldve been closer friends. Me , you , jordan , and yadira were walking partners on graduation. That night was so funny because when C/O 2011 was about to walk out to the field, you were nowhere to be found! Yadira & i were all telling jordan, "Call Him! Hes going to be sooo late!!" lol but there you were rushing into line with us with the biggest smile on your face! Right before it was our turn to walk you said smile, walk all together, and dont blow it. We all laughed! Caro, your an amazing guy and i wish we couldve been so much closer then what we were. But hey, its okay we can always still become like best friends in heaven :D Dang, i cant wait to see you once again smiling all big and calling everyone kid(: Caro , it broke everyones heart to find out god took you sooner then we thought, but its all apart of his plan, theres probably somone you had to watch over on earth and the only way to do that was in heaven. Do me a favor? Can you Give jesse a hug for me? Anthony your loss has made me realize lots of things in my life, ive come to notice that everything bad that happens, is just a difficult way to get you ready for something amazing to happen !  Anthony I remember my first day of school at Selma High and I was so nervous to make friends and talk to anyone..I had you in one of my classes that day and you were the first person who talked to me that day and said I can go hang out at the tree if I wanted but I was to scared to actually go. So I sat alone at lunch and you went out of your way to call me over again and introduce me to everyone there=] Your kindness will never be forgotten. When I first heard about the news of you and your friend on the tv, I knew in my heart God was speaking to me.
I never knew you nor did we meet before, but I did take the drive to from Modesto to be at yours and jesse candlelight vigils at the high school. I 'm a mother of three and I just felt in my heart that I needed to be there to support your family and friends. 
I hope and I do pray that I never have to go through what your parents are going through, but I also pray that god comforts your parents in this most difficult time now. I pray that your family and friends can slowly but surely heal. many hearts will always be broken, but your memory will never be forgotten. 
My prayers are with you and your family daily. May god bless you.

I drive by the cemetery daily, my eyes fill up with tears. I didn't even know you and I constantly ask why? Why god. I pray for you constantly and visit u and Jesse frequently. I am a mother and hurt for your mother and father. You and Jesse were such good boys and were so very loved makes me want to be a better person. You boys have impacted so many in the short time you were here it's amazing. You are amazing. How proud your parents must be to have raised a young man such as yourself.
