I wanted to express my deepest condolences to you. It is hard to imagine the pain of grief in your hearts. I hope that these inspired words bring you some comfort. Psalms 34: 17 19  says They cried out, and [God] himself heard, and out of all their distresses he delivered them. Please know that you are being thought of and Nathan is remembered.

My heart aches when I see these pictures. He was part of our life too, as Mika's closest friend growing up. And his smile... above all his smile... was infectious and so beautiful. He is still here because all I have to do is think of that handsome face and beaming smile and a burst of energy bubbles up in my heart. I know he is well. We just miss him! I hope we catch him again the next time around. xoxoxo Thank you for this beautiful Memorial Page.

With love and hugs, Doro, Mika, Bryan and Claire

For the brief time that I knew you I could tell that you were an ambitious and energetic gentleman.Life is unpredictable and sometimes never going in our direction. All we can do is cherish the time we have and embrace our accomplishments and ability to make others lifes a joy. You will always be missed and I will keep the one thing I know about you in my daily life; to smile and pass on the contagoius affect of happiness.

Willis and Family,

What a beautiful tribute to a very loved son.  I cannot imagine the loss of 2 children in one's lifetime.  The memories shared by family members were so touching;  I cried as I read each one.  My heart goes out to each of you.  I am glad you have so many good remembrances of your time with Nathan.  Thank you for sharing this with me.

Doris

I knew Nathan from when he was a small child. Everytime I was at the house to work on the horses he was there watching and asking questions. A fine young man that is missed by all that knew him. It is hard to believe so much water has passed under the bridge since he left us. May he rest in peace.

01-19-2012 10:47 AM -- By: Mike,  From: Copper Hill

Two days before Nathan left this world, I stopped to chat with him at what had been Bill's Quick Stop. He was filling up the tank on his truck. I don't remember much of what we had said but I do remember his smile straight from the heart.

A lot of people smile but very few have a smile that comes straight from the heart. That kind of smile can change a persons life. I've been fortunate to have had a few people like that in my life. The ones that are gone are my Mom and Dad, Nathan, and others. I'm fortunate to have a few others still left in this world. Thanks Nathan! Mike

01-18-2012 11:26 AM -- By: Deneen,  From:

Mr. Day, I thank you for sharing Nathan’s life with us.  Your grief is surely palpable.  I was so moved by everything you said about your son.  Suicide is so difficult for the survivors who loved them.  There is this awful feeling of utter helplessness.  The many unanswered questions . . . It’s just so inconceivable that someone we love so much could be in that much pain, feel that desperate, and we not know it or be able to save them.  It is what makes this kind of loss even more difficult to bear. Although nothing I say can ever erase the profound sense of loss your heart now feels, I would still like to share some encouragement I’ve received in my darkest moments.  They are found here in these scriptural passages: “He is healing the brokenhearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots.” (Psalms 147:3)  And “Listen to me, for I am helpless and weak . . . hear my cries for help . . . how great is your constant love for me . . . strengthen me and save me . . . you have given me comfort and help.” (Excerpts from Psalm 86).  May you find comfort in knowing that others are thinking of you.
