This online memorial was created in loving memory of Christopher "Chris" Pearson, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website. Please sign Christopher "Chris"'s guest book and let us know you came to visit. We will remember Christopher "Chris" forever. I don't know where to start. Feb. 3, 2007 was the worst day of our lives, it is terrible to have the local Coroner & a Police Officer come to your door & tell you that your son was killed in an auto accident. It is a day that I will remember for as long as I live, until I get to see my Boy again. Chris was 21 years 4 months & 3 days old, when he got killed. It was a one truck accident, he went off the right side of the road & overcorrected & skidded sideways down the road & hit a rock with his rear axle, which flipped him & then he went thru a fence & ended up in between 2 anhydrous tanks. He had 2 other people in the truck with him, one walked away with back injuries & the other was seriously injured. That day we could have lost 3 young people, but it just wasn't their time I guess. God only wanted Chris.

I wonder what is in this bucket?

Chris was such a good baby when he was little & he grew up so fast. In the 5th, 6th & 7th grades he broke his nose every year for those three years. I kept saying that I was going to put his head in a bubble, so nothing else would happen to him. He had the normal bumps, bruises & stitches. He was a people person. All the time finding someone to help. He was a 10 year member of our Local 4-H Group. He was also an Eagle Scout thru Boy Scout Troop 130.

My Eagle Scout Court of Honor

I regret the fact that he never really understood the impact that being an Eagle Scout would have on his life. In 2002 my brother, Tim died unexpectedly, which was very hard on Chris, as he was Chris's idol. Which later on a lot of Tim's traits were picked up by Chris. His height, being skinny, the way he walked. At the time Tim died Chris was 17 & Tim was on the Local Disaster Team & in order to be on the team you have to be 18. Chris said that he would be on the Team, but you know how boys are they change their minds a lot.

So we figured that he would change his mind in a year, but he didn't. When he turned 18 he joined the Team & picked up right where Tim left off. The very first disaster he went on was a Factory in the Industrial Park blew up & was on fire, needless to say I was a wreck, because he had never done anything like that before, but the Captain of the Team reassured me that he would keep him safe & he did. Me being the Mom I just overreacted a little bit, but that is what we do, we try & keep our kids safe from harms way.
