Ben and Kayla

Ben was a wonderful Daddy to Kayla, he loved her with all his heart and is watching out for her from Heaven this I believe. One of my favorite fatherhood stories of Ben is remembering one particular night we slept at their house. Kayla spotted a moth or a fly in her bedroom; She and I had finished reading stories and she was preparing to go to sleep. Kayla suddenly popped off the bed and proclaimed, "I need Daddy", She ran to get him and told him about the bug in her room. Ben and I both tried to catch that silly thing, with no luck after about 10 minutes; Ben told Kayla it was time to lay down and he assured her he would catch the bug. He sat on the floor in her room "Bug Hunting" until she was asleep. He patience was unending. He was a good man, but an exceptional father.

Ben was a very smart and curious little boy. He loved to swim and loved the water. We put him in Grandma and Grandpa Leppink's pool before he could walk around and he would paddle around in his little seat for hours. He always had a soft heart and couldn't stand to see anything in pain, from little animals on the side of the road to pets to other children. Ben was totally accepting of people no matter where they came from.  No matter what their station in life  they would find a loving and loyal friend in Ben. He always stood up for the underdog.

It is my hope that people with pictures of Ben will enter them here. We will never have any new pictures so we must share what we do have together. Thanks, Joy & Kevin

Ben's two little girls Kayla and Jaymie. They are both so precious.
