Betty Ann Gaudreau
August 9 1943 - February 1 2009

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while but their hearts forever!

GAUDREAU, Betty Ann (nee Walker) - 65

Betty passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the VG Site of the QEII in Halifax.

She was the devoted wife of Michel (aka Mike); cherished mother of Stephen, Elizabeth and Arthur (Janis); loving grandmother of Brae; dear sister of Clyde (Joan) and adored Aunt.

Born August 9, 1943 in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Walker.

We will all miss her pleasant smile, strength and courage. A truly generous and caring individual, Betty was always willing to help those she loved and will be dearly missed by many friends and family.

May her memory be eternal. "To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die." - Thomas Campbell.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to J A Snow Funeral Home in Halifax and to honor Betty's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Please email me at: ElizabethGaudreau@hotmail.com , for my current mailing address should you wish to include an acknowledgement with your donation.

I will be sure to share them with the family.

Just for You

In tears we saw you sinking
and watched you fade away,
our hearts were almost broken
because we wanted you to stay.

But when we saw you sleeping
peacefully from pain,
how could we wish you back with us
to suffer that again.

It broke our hearts to lose you
but you didn't go alone,
for part of us went with you on Feb 1/09
when God called you home.

Mum ...

Whenever I've needed someone to share
my joy, or someone to hold me when
my world rips to pieces you were there.

And I know you will be -
tomorrow, always ...
and in my heart forever.

Love is everlasting!
