Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
Frances Danette Foster was born on March 9th, 1941 and passed away on March 3rd, 2012. She was 70 years old.
She is survived by two children, Tracy Lynne Foster and Gary Wade Foster; three grandchildren, Erika Dawn Spratt, Kiley Lorain Almeida, and Briana B Almeida. She also had three great-grandchildren, Sophie Maria Spratt, Maya Anabel Spratt, and Ruben James Kalma.
After over 20 loyal years working as a school bus driver, she retired from Katy ISD in 2011. The end of her service to Katy ISD was spent driving children with special needs. She loved that she became such a large part of her student's lives, and often part of their parent's lives as well. She always referred to the students as her "kids".
Much of her life was devoted to enriching the lives of her grandchildren. She valued education and emphasized the importance of hard work and determination. She gave so much of herself to ensure success for each of them.
Some who knew her may be surprised to learn that in her younger years she loved to dance- she passed on that love to her daughter and granddaughters. She also liked sports cars- in her lifetime she owned two Corvettes!
Danette had many hobbies-she was a gifted seamstress, and also enjoyed gardening, painting, working on home projects, watching HGTV & Channel 13 news.
Please help us keep her alive in our thoughts by sharing your stories and memories of her in the guestbook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Danette's favorite charity, Brookwood, a community for adults with disabilities.
