Shannon & Squirt

This online memorial was created in loving memory of my wife Shannon Pollock, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website. Please sign Shannon's guest book and let us know you came to visit. We will remember Shannon forever. Shannon was my wife, best friend, lover, and hero. For those of us lucky enough to have known her, our lives have been forever enriched by the experience.

My Fairy Princess

Shannon will always be a Princess in our eyes. Beside the obvious exterior beauty she possessed, Shannon was just as beautiful on the inside. When I met her, I was 11 1/2 years older than Shannon. One of the things I instantly fell in love with was her love for life. She made me see things through her eyes, and I was hooked. Shannon loved life and all it had to offer. She was loving, compassionate, smart, creative, and forgiving. To know her was to love her. The world is worse off without her in it!

How Cute Can One Girl Be?

If Shannon were any cuter, I wouldn't know what to do with with myself... This is a favorite picture of my wife that will be in my soul FOREVER!! I often look at these pictures and find myself unable to believe she is gone. My own life is but a shell of what it once was when Shannon was in it. I use to see other people, or watch movies, or hear songs where someone has lost a spouse, and I would think how lucky I was and couldn't fathom losing the love of my life. And, now it happened. As hard as we try to make sense of it, this is one I'm going to need the Lord to explain to me someday.

Shannon & Mitch

Shannon left this world on a Wednesday; February 1, 2006 at 6:50PM at the VA hospital located in Syracuse, NY. I was there, as well as many of her friends. Her family was flying in from Florida when she died. She was only 35-years old and subcumbed to a bleeding ulcer. She went into the hospital six days earlier. This picture of us kissing in the church on our wedding day was June 16, 1990 - exactly 6 months to the day after I asked her to marry me. We dated only 12 days before I proposed to Shannon. The church we were married in was in Lynn Haven, Florida. This was her church. I did not step into that church again until nearly 16 years later when I stood in the same place where I said, "I do," and let her go to The Lord.
